Conference: From Cannes to Genoa: the painters' Riviera

Les peintres de la Riviera. Claude Monet. Les Conférences de Fabrice Roy

The notion of Riviera makes fun of human conventions and their borders. Côte d´Azur and Liguria have offered artists for centuries an incredible palette of colors, sublimated by this elusive light, the capture and rendering of which gave Claude Monet himself a cold sweat. Whether they are natives of places like Bensa, passing through like Monet, or come to settle there like Renoir, Defer or Merello, French and Italian painters have delivered over the years sensitive works of which the most are unknown to the general public. Fabrice Roy invites you on a Franco-Italian walk through this heritage of fabulous richness.
